Prague Castle is iconic. The largest ancient castle in the world (750,000 square feet!) and one of the most visited spots in Czech Republic, walking the grounds is easily a full day’s adventure (even skipping the paid entry areas), but viewing it from various points along the Vltava creates endless opportunities for showcasing its beauty, mystique and elegance. Nighttime along the river, especially in good weather, draws huge crowds of tourists and locals alike. Viewing it from the bridge to Slovanský ostrov (Slovanic Island) offers a particularly picturesque vista, especially during a great sunset.
